His work is influenced by writers like Blake Crouch, Marisha Pessl, and early Dean Koontz, and by films such as Memento and Donnie Darko.

Pierce is drawn to unsettling stories that often raise more questions than they answer. His upcoming debut novel, Observation, is a psychological thriller about a man who begins to suspect his wife may be an imposter—and that someone may be testing his grip on reality. Fans of The Twilight Zone and The X-Files will feel right at home.
